What Is Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is a way to receive your Medicare-covered benefits through a private insurance company approved by Medicare. You still have Medicare, but the plan manages your coverage and follows its own rules, costs, and, for many plans, provider networks.

Important: If you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you must continue paying your Medicare Part B premium. Some plans may also have a separate monthly plan premium. Learn more from Medicare.gov.
